The 17th Ferrer-Salat – Conservatori Liceu Scholarships supported 40 young musicians with the aim of accompanying them throughout their artistic training. Driven by the Ferrer Music Foundation in collaboration with the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, the call awards 20 Quadrennial Grants and 20 Excellence Grants, reaffirming the institution's commitment to the development of emerging musical talent. In addition to financial aid, the programme offers access to masterclasses with internationally renowned artists and participation in initiatives such as Liceu Chamber Music or Liceu Jazz Masterclasses & Concerts.
The handover, which took place on the 7th of May At the Liceu Conservatory Auditorium, it included the traditional concert by previous scholarship recipients and brought together students, families, and industry professionals for a day marked by music and emotion.
During the event, Sergi Ferrer-Salat, president of Ferrer and the Ferrer Foundations, as well as of the Liceu Conservatory Foundation, highlighted the resilience, perseverance, and social commitment of the scholarship holders, and emphasised the transformative role of music in building a more just and equitable society.
Since 2010, the Ferrer Music Foundation has awarded 714 ducks, consolidating a talent support model based on equal opportunities and the development of artistic potential.
